somewhere over the rainbow

"Someday I'll wish upon a star,

And wake up where the clouds are far behind me,

Where troubles melt like lemon drops,

Away above the chimney tops,

That's where you'll find me..."

Me and Ah Seng came back from a lethargic day at work today in foul moods. We got screwed by boss and 'twas a frenzy of weathers. Just as we turned into the corner of our house I noticed something(s)...

... of which somewhere there's a land that I heard of once in a lullaby. Notice something else? There's really TWO rainbows..!

Wikipedia says: Secondary rainbows are caused by a double reflection of sunlight inside the raindrops, and appear at an angle of 50°–53°. As a result of the second reflection, the colours of a secondary rainbow are inverted compared to the primary bow, with blue on the outside and red on the inside. The dark area of unlit sky lying between the primary and secondary bows is called Alexander's band, after Alexander of Aphrodisias who first described it.

The rainbow was so clear you could see its every spectrum of colours. Whimsical, non?

I took such an epic picture of Ah Seng (on the phone with Ah Preto) with the rainbow and all.

Sadly, he couldn't return the favour. Damnit!! It's tolerable-lah... just not epic.

It was such a magnificent sight that our troubles did melt like lemon drops. Can't say much for the chimney tops though. It was undeniably fantastical. Alot of neighbours came out to check this natural phenomenon while it lasted. It was a good opportunity to wave at them. I'm making effort 'cos Guy spooked me with horror stories of girls who live by themselves anonymously aka no communication whatsoever with fellow neighbours.

"Somewhere, over the rainbow, skies are blue,
And the dreams that you dare to dream,
Really do come true..."
... Somewhere Over The Rainbow, Dorothy of Wizard Of Oz ...
